Instructor of Medicine
I am an MD/PhD, and spent 3 years as a post-doc and junior faculty member in the Diwan lab. I am currently in the process of moving forward with my own independent laboratory. Prior to my time in the Diwan laboratory, I completed MD/PhD training at University of Chicago, residency at Massachusetts General Hospital, and fellowship training in Cardiovascular Disease and Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant at University of Pennsylvania. I have an NIH K08 award focused on the role of transcription factor EB in macrophages in myocardial remodeling after ischemia injury. My future interests will be focused on the role of lipid and lipoprotein metabolism in the response to myocardial injury.
